Quality & Traceability
BidMeat.eu supplies professional buyers in the European food sector.
We work with selected food suppliers and logistics providers and require the documentation and handling appropriate to the products supplied and the relevant transaction.
Product information
Depending on the product, product information may include:
- product name and specification,
- fresh/chilled or frozen status,
- packaging type,
- nominal weight,
- country or place of origin where applicable,
- batch / lot identification,
- production or packing information,
- storage conditions,
- temperature requirements,
- establishment identification or approval information where applicable.
The information contained in the product specification, product label and documents supplied with the specific batch takes precedence over general information on the website.
Traceability
BidMeat maintains commercial and transaction records designed to support identification of the products supplied and their relevant batch or lot information.
Customers should retain labels, batch information and delivery documentation, particularly where a quality or traceability query arises.
Temperature requirements
Typical BidMeat storage information is:
Fresh / chilled products: 0°C to +4°C Frozen products: –18°C or below
A particular product may require different or more specific conditions. In that case, the product specification, label or applicable product documentation takes precedence.
Cold chain
Temperature-sensitive products are handled using logistics appropriate to their required temperature regime.
After delivery or agreed collection, the Buyer is responsible for maintaining the required storage, handling and further transport conditions.
Product-specific documentation
Where available, customers may request or access product specifications and other documents relating to a specific offer.
